Alarm clock

The excitement is little here. I travelled to and from Medan, the coordinator of my program came for a visit, the Big Boss will come next week (but will be travelling somewhere else in the province), and I’ve been assigned two more classes because someone left mid-term for another job! Next week, I’ll jet off for some fun in the haze of Jakarta.

This morning we had a 6am shaker that caused the other tenants in my building to get outside. It shook me awake and I just followed everyone outside and stood there for about 10min before we all went inside. There weren’t any cracks in my walls, so all seems fine. The actual specifics can be found here.

You know, there was a moderate earthquake in Kathmandu while we were there. Also a ’shaker’. I don’t think I could get used to that. But hey, I didn’t think I could get used to Birganj.

It is a little unnerving. My colleagues actually just joke about it. It would be nice to enjoy a little earthquake if I wasn’t worried about concrete coming down on top of me!

    I’m glad you’re safe, Tony!
