an entry somewhere else

It’s Friday and the grand Lebaran time will begin Monday at sundown. The students didn’t show yesterday despite my having seen some of them earlier that day and even waiting outside the classroom, waiting to see if others were going to show. I’m off to Bali on Sunday for a week of relaxation. However, I’ve also received word that my proposal for a short presentation at the national TESOL conference has been accepted. This means I have to actually write the paper now. It’s a short presentation (20 minutes talking, 10 minutes for questions) that really doesn’t have a lot of meat to it. Nevertheless, it’s something to toss on the resume.
