It’s been just over a week in northern lower Michigan, and I’m sold. The grasshoppers chirp at night, a welcome displacement of car and motorcycle horns. My runs in the morning rarely cross a car even though I run on the road. My motorcycle rides in the afternoon sun rarely pass a car. The air is clean. I’m nearly sated.
The Traverse City Film Festival has announced its film schedule. The festival was founded, in part, my Michael Moore. I know he is quite a controversial fellow but he is bringing many films to northern Michigan that would never normally be seen here. The festival is bringing several Iranian films, several documentaries, and other foreign films. It’s a direct contrast from my childhood when the most foreign of films came from Hollywood. You can check out the schedules at traversecityfilmfestival.org. Oh, ok, there are a few films that are crap. We can’t have it all.

Geez, I suck at friendship right now. I thought summer would be a temporary wind down, but I have been busy as hell. My own fault, I keep agreeing to things I should say no to.
May be in MI for a week before the summer sun sets. How long are you planted? Maybe I can actually see you before you are off again.
Thinking of you, really, I am. I will shoot you an email. Soon.
Jess, no worries. Just work hard and drop a line when you can;)
