Yes, I could label this point ‘Leaving on a jet plane,’ but I won’t. I just won’t do it. I will, however, have already inserted a plethora of cliches throughout these pages. In a few hours, I’m heading to the airport to do this: Makassar-Jakarta-Tokyo-Chicago-Traverse City. I probably still have time to score some sleeping pills, but I’ll go without and go brain-batty over the course of 21 flight hours.
It has also come to my attention that there were flash floods some 200 km from Makassar. Approximately 120 are dead from drowing or under the collapse of houses. This was not near me. However, the traditional method of fundraising is being seen again–people with boxes in the street.
Over and out.
