I am undertaking a momentous journey today. I have purchased a 40GB external hard drive and will dump all my data that did not come with the computer onto it. After that, I’ll do a clean install from a boot disk and add the new memory. I’ll then add new applications 1-by-1 and see what application could be the problem. The bad news will be if the memory doesn’t conflict with an application. May luck be with me…

So how did it work?
It didn’t. The computer doesn’t recognize the RAM. I’ve lost all my updates, my bootleg of Tiger, and, for some reason, Address Book and Quicktime have both stopped working. I give up.
